Il workshop è indirizzato a danzatori professionisti e studenti interessati all’apprendimento di nuove strategie compositive e verte sull’apprendimento dei principi compositivi adottati nel lavoro presentato alla Biennale di Venezia 13objects , risultato della ricerca coreografica di Camilla Monga in collaborazione con Jacopo Jenna, Luca Scapellato e gli allievi di PARTS training cycle (Viktor Mar Leifsson , Kamola Rashidova, Vedis Kjartansdottir e Maya Oliva).
La coreografia rielabora l’idea compositiva di Edgard Varese in Ionisation mediante l’utilizzo di oggetti che divengono lo strumento di base per definire una serie di possibilità fisiche. Le loro funzioni determinano azioni e traiettorie imprevedibili che servono come base per l’espansione e la variazione del ritmo. Il risultato è un’intensa visione parossistica che raggiunge un caos illusorio e una logica surreale.
«C’è un’idea, l’origine della struttura interna; quest’ultima cresce, si sfalda secondo svariate forme e gruppi sonori in continua metamorfosi, a velocità e direzioni diverse, a dipendere dall’attrazione o dalla repulsione di varie forze. La forma dell’opera è conseguenze di queste interazioni. Le forme musicali possibili sono innumerevoli» (Edgard Varese).

Camilla Monga
She graduated from Accademia Paolo Grassi-Milan where she studied with Lucinda Childs and Michele Di Stefano/MK.
She attended Ecole Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc Bruxelles and graduated from Fine Arts Academy Brera in Milan.
In 2011 she worked as a dancer for Aiep contemporary dance company of Ariella Vidach.
Choregrapher in Spazio project 2013/14 promoted by International Choreographic Arts Centre (ICK) of Amsterdam. Thanks to it She studied with: Emio Greco, Robert Steijn, DD Dorviller, Andrea Božić, Bruno Listopad, David Hinton, Bertha Bermudez, Ivana Ivkovich BADco and Robert Pravda.
She has post-graduated from Research Studios at P.A.R.T.S. Academy in Bruxelles and She had the opportunity to develop her research studies with different choreographers and musicologists:
Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Bojana Cvejic, Johanne Saunier, Alain Franco, Thierry De Mey, Gabriel Schneker, Eszter Salamon, Rudi Laermans and Annalies Van Parys.
Her projects took part in several dance contexts in Europe:
Uovo Performing Festival-Milan, NaoCrea-Milan, Vetrina XL Anticorpi-Ravenna, Biennale for young artists-Thessaloniki, Opera Estate Festival CSC-Bassano del Grappa, ZPC Plesni Centar Zagreb Residency Program-Zagreb, Julidans LAB for young choreographers-Amsterdam, P.A.R.T.S. showcase Bruxelles, Camping CND Centre National de la Danse- Paris, La Manufacture Season – Aurillac.
Since 2012 She has been working as a choreographer with the musician Luca Lska to develop her research in experimenting with sound art for creating audiovisual performances.
She has a deep interest in mathemathics and physics focused on movement and kinesthetic learning.
After her studies with the performance theorist Bojana Cvejic, She started to combine physics and musicolgy in order to complete her choreographic thoughts.
She was invited to teach her choreographic practice at CND-Paris directed by Mathilde Le Monnier during Summer Camping 2015.
Her last project “Quartetto per oggetti” created in collaboration with Jacopo Jenna and Luca LSKA, supported by P.A.R.T.S. was involved in Biennale Danza di Venezia 2016.
The Italian premiere will be part of Teatro Grande di Brescia Season 2016/’17.
